16 October 2006 SSB and Bluetab join forces to deliver biometric access control systems The combination of SSB's biometric security hardware (Soluciones y Sistemas Biométricos) and Bluetab's industry-strength transaction management platform have enabled the two companies to jointly develop a complete access and presence- management solution aimed at the corporate sector. The solution enables fast and flexible implementation of policies to control physical access to an organisation’s facilities. Based on fingerprint recognition technology, the system manages user access control rules which are tailored to each customer’s particular needs and which can be configured on-the-fly according to their current security procedures. The approach divides premises into a number of zones, entry to which is controlled by a network of biometric readers which are individually managed by central software that maintains the desired user access policies. Bluetab is very excited to be putting its transaction expertise to work in the world of biometrics and we will be jointly exhibiting the solution with SSB at Spain’s leading electronics fair, Matelec, on 24-28 October in Madrid.
