01 December 2006 Bluetab releases version 2.0 of its Business Support Framework Bluetab has just announced the release of the latest version of its Business Support Framework, a next-generation transaction management platform which automates a range of core business processes, including e-shop functionality, billing & settlement, logistics, customer support, and management reporting. The system supports multiple languages, currencies and value chain participants and is available either as an off-the-shelf software package or as an on-demand service. A central element of the framework is Bluetab's innovative object-oriented billing & settlement engine which enables high volume, real-time rating and billing, and automates complex settlement scenarios using the company’s sophisticated 'Value Chain' multi-party cascading settlement system. The platform enables on-the-fly configuration allowing you to support dynamic value chains, launch and manage new promotions and react rapidly to commercial developments. Based on Open Source technology, the Business Support Framework is hardware, operating system and database-independent, which keeps set-up costs down and enables maximum flexibility in deployment. The system core is fully isolated from the presentation layer, enabling total freedom in the user interface, be it accessed through web, mobile or other channels.
