20 July 2007 Bluetab uses Pentaho to deliver open source business intelligence solutions Bluetab has teamed up with Pentaho, the leading open source business intelligence platform, to deliver high quality, cost-effective BI solutions for a range of clients. We recently used Pentaho's impressive data analytics and reporting toolkit to deliver a completely new BI solution for FON, the innovative WiFi sharing network, to help them get the most out of their complex operational and market data. The solution we delivered is a powerful, fully automated business intelligence application integrating FON’s global business data and delivering it through flexible, rich reporting capabilities. The project involved a complete redesign of the data model and implementation of a new data warehouse using Pentaho's data integration tool, Kettle. The FON team now has access to their data through two layers, either pre-defined on-demand reports, or OLAP Cubes for more sophisticated data mining.
