BT Spain has been serving the Spanish market for almost 20 years with a wide range of IT and communication services, including fixed line, mobile and IP-based telephony. The challenge BT Spain urgently needed an overhaul of its mobile number portability system to improve efficiency in customer support and provide a more streamlined number management capability. The solution Bluetab designed and deployed a J2EE application to fully automate BT's number portability processes, including a web-based workflow service to support the customer care team. Complying with the latest legislative requirements for portability in the Spanish market, the solution integrates and exchanges data seamlessly with a range of internal and external systems including third party operators and BT's own provisioning, mediation, interconnection and billing infrastructure. |
